We are currently seeking a Work Coordinator to join our team at Plane Creek Mill based In Sarina, North Queensland - Located near stunning beaches and lush countryside, Sarina offers a relaxed lifestyle with easy access to outdoor activities, making it a wonderful place to live and work.

As the Work Coordinator you will be responsible for safely and effectively identifying and coordinating works associated with the execution of maintenance and capital tasks for mill assets within the Steam and Power strategy area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, guide, and support the site engineering and operations team to ensure their responsibilities are executed
  • Work closely with a diverse team to develop and implement effective maintenance and capital strategies
  • Monitor and manage team performance.
  • Develop and coordinate the weekly schedule and contribute to the long term program review
  • Coordinate resources required for maintenance and capital works including breakdown/shutdowns.
  • In-field fault finding and rectification
  • Monitor and manage team safety and quality compliance

The Successful Candidate

We are seeking motivated individual with previous leadership experience who can effectively communicate, influence and negotiate at all levels. You will be able to successfully engage and motivate a team towards common goals to achieve performance targets and business goals. You will hold tertiary or trade qualifications in a mechanical discipline or be able to demonstrate practical experience within the sugar industry or similar heavy industrial environments. It is essential that you have experience working with turbines and the associated equipment, ensuring you possess the necessary skills and knowledge to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot these complex systems effectively.
