About this opportunity:

As a Workforce Design Officer, you develop effective relationships with internal customers to provide technical support and guidance in the implementation of workforce planning and organisational design solutions across Mackay Regional Council. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic environment. The position is temporary full-time until end June 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective internal and external customer relationships.
  • Provide responsive technical advice relating to workforce planning and design initiatives.
  • Conduct research and interviews, prepare data and analysis to ensure consistency and accuracy of position descriptions and classification levels as per the Award and provide advice to management and staff to facilitate the position evaluation process.
  • Conduct research, prepare data, reports, and presentations from various sources, including the extraction of data from the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and related systems.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Qualification in a related field.
  • Well-developed experience providing effective customer service to a broad range of internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in contributing to the implementation of organisational frameworks, programs, initiatives and/or strategies.
