An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Workplace Health and Safety Officer to join TE’s carefully selected and skilled workforce. The role is diverse and requires supporting the Management Team to achieve safety deliverables and playing an integral role in maintaining core workplace health and safety functions.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

  • Maintain comprehensive WHS records and manage all statutory WHS reporting requirements. 
  • Undertake rehabilitation and return to work coordination activities for employees injured at work. 
  • Manage site WHS and general WHS duties such as audits, safety risk assessments, and incident management, reporting, investigation and compensation claims.
  • Develop, implement and monitor Policies, Procedures and Safety Systems to ensure compliance with current legislative requirements.
  • Encourage continuous improvement and seek safety improvement opportunities.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you are looking for interesting and challenging work where your ideas and initiatives are applauded, then this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for. Ideally you will have: 

  • Certificate IV and relevant experience in WHS (minimum).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (advantageous).
  • Experience in Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordination.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the workforce. 
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and regulations, and Employee Relations policies and requirements. 
  • Experience working in Manufacturing/Mining industry advantageous.
