Job Description

SMW Group is a proud Central Queensland provider of field servicing, maintenance and emergency repair / rebuild services.  We have over 20 years' experience servicing the Central Queensland region.
Our Rockhampton Fabrication & Engineering workshop currently have a number of exciting projects underway, both new builds and heavy equipment repairs and structural manufacturing with continuous ongoing work. We are looking for an experienced supervisor to join the team based at our Parkhurst facility.

A driven individual to lead our facility in Rockhampton, to provide excellence in all aspects of the service offering and the ability to work well under pressure in a busy engineering environment are important qualities of the successful candidate. 
 
  
Accountabilities
 

  • Compliance with all Health, Safety, Environment and Quality requirements, standards, policies, procedures
  • Transparently manage current and planned work
  • Professional and effective management/supervise and leadership of employees and contractors
  • Client satisfaction for equipment-related issues at contracted sites
  • Leadership support to drive the Group’s integration and change agenda.

Skills & Experience
 

  • Highly professional, demonstrated leadership capability.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • Highly motivated, driven and outcomes oriented with the ability to develop long-lasting win-win relationships and convert opportunities into business.
  • Collaborative approach and transparent communication style
  • Engineering background understands fabrication trades and has a good knowledge of the mining industry.
  • Experience leading large work groups.  
  • Fabrication and Manufacturing experience of structural and heavy steel.
