  • Progression into Senior Maintenance roles. 
Our Client:
Stellar Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Leading Hand to join a highly dynamic & well-established open cut mine operation in the Bowen Basin - Less than 3 hours south of Mackay. Our client is a contract miner who runs the production and maintenance requirements across an open cut coal mine outside of Mackay.

The Role:
The successful candidate will be supervising a crew of tradespeople who are overhauling and conducting ongoing maintenance of a wide range of mining equipment. Equipment includes Haul Trucks (CAT & Komatsu), Graders, Dozers and other ancillary equipment. 

What we are looking for:
  • A Diesel Fitting or mechanical trade qualification
  • At least 2 - 3 years experience as a Leading Hand
  • Hold S1, S2, S3 / G1, G2 tickets. 
  • Current Coal Board Medical & Standard 11.  
  • Previous experience working with open-cut mining equipment eg. Haul Trucks, Dozers and Graders
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and will follow the process and not cut corners.
