We are seeking a motivated and experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead our Mackay Workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to driving operational excellence, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and developing a strong team culture.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, managing workflow and resource allocation, supporting and mentoring technicians, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The successful candidate will be a proactive leader who leads by example, promotes accountability, and plays an active role in achieving team and business objectives.

 
Roster
  • Monday - Friday Roster
  • 6:00am - 5:00pm daily shifts
  • This position includes participation in the after-hours phone roster and on-call duties, requiring availability to provide operational support, coordinate responses to urgent issues, and assist in maintaining service continuity when required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervising day-to-day workshop operations
  • Leading, mentoring, and motivating the workshop team including Apprentices
  • Allocating jobs and managing workflow to meet deadlines
  • Ensuring quality control, safety, and compliance standards
  • Liaising with management, parts, and customers as needed
  • Coordinator callouts and participate in the on-call roster
  • Provide trade-qualified guidance to workshop employees.
  • Monitor timely completion of repairs, defects, and servicing
What Are We Looking For?
  • Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
  • HR Licence (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements and maintenance practices
  • Demonstrated experience in a workshop supervisory or senior trade role
  • Strong leadership and people skills
  • Solid technical knowledge and problem-solving ability
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with great organisation skills
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
