Westhill Services is excited to offer a unique opportunity for motivated individuals to kickstart their career in heavy fabrication and repairs. We're seeking Workshop Trades Assistants who are eager to develop their skills and work towards a Boilermaker Apprenticeship.

💰 Pay Rates: $24 to $35 per hour (depending on experience)

Your Role:

  • Assist qualified Boilermakers in the fabrication and repair of heavy mining equipment.
  • Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for welding and assembly tasks.
  • Learn to interpret technical drawings and follow safety standards.
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety.
  • Gain hands-on experience with welding, grinding, and metalworking techniques.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Must have a current driver's licence and own transport to work 
  • Interest in pursuing a Boilermaker apprenticeship.
  • Basic mechanical or workshop experience (advantageous, but not essential).
  • Forklift licence and Overhead Crane (OHC) ticket (advantageous, not essential).
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
