Are you an experienced and reliable individual looking for a challenging role as a Yard Hand in Gladstone? We are seeking a highly motivated person with strong forklift skills and a commitment to maintaining safe and efficient warehouse operations.

The Role

As a Yard Hand, you will be a key part of our operations team, responsible for the movement, storage, and control of stock within our yard and warehouse facility. Your duties will be varied, requiring a blend of physical work, operational efficiency, and administrative support.

Key Requirements and Skills

• Forklift Operation: Proven and extensive experience operating a forklift, with a valid licence.

• Warehouse Controls Knowledge: Solid understanding and practical experience with effective warehouse management and safety procedures.

• Stock Control Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing inventory, including receiving, dispatching, and accurate documentation of stock movements.

• Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in using basic computer programs for data entry, record-keeping, and communication.

• Gladstone Based: Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Gladstone area.

• Health and Safety: Must have the ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities Include

• Loading and unloading goods using a forklift, ensuring proper handling and securing of loads.

• Conducting accurate stock takes and maintaining the integrity of inventory records.

• Organising and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the yard and warehouse.

• Following all company safety procedures and operating guidelines.

• Assisting with general site maintenance and administrative tasks as required.
