About the Role:
At MADEC, our Youth Coordinator (Out of Home Care) are the backbone of our mission to provide safe, nurturing, and supportive home environments for young people who have experienced trauma and neglect.
Working under the guidance of our experienced Team Leaders and Youth Coordinators, you will:
- Effectively Lead and Coordinate: Work with small team of Youth Coordinators to manage day-to-day operations (including rostering) of residential services to ensure best practice supports, continuity of care and compliance with regulatory requirements, policies and procedures.
- Foster a Safe Environment: Create and lead small teams to ensure consistent and nurturing atmosphere that empowers young people to thrive.
- Be a Role Model: Lead by example, helping teams of Residential Youth Workers to support young people develop the confidence and skills they need to navigate life's challenges.
- Build Effective Relationships: Engage and develop relationships with clients and stakeholders.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Qualifications: Cert IV in Child, Family, and Youth Intervention (or equivalent/related field) or willingness to obtain it.
• Minimum: 2 years experience working within residential care.
• Licenses: A valid Queensland Driver’s License.
• Screening: Current Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening and LCS2.
• Availability: Participate in on-call roster rotation.
• Passion: A genuine commitment to supporting young people and contributing to a positive team culture.
