As a Youth Worker, you will play a pivotal role in creating a secure and nurturing haven for children and young individuals in need. Working under the guidance of the Case Manager, you will provide essential day-to-day care, empowering youths with challenging behaviours through engaging activities and structured routines that foster vital life skills.

What do I need for the role?

  • Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts, including sleepovers, weekends, afternoons, nights and day shifts.
  • Certificate IV in Child Youth Family Intervention (Residential Carer) or equivalent and experience in working with ‘at risk’ youth, or willing to undergo studies.
  • Previous experience in trauma informed practice will be highly regarded.
  • Possession of current Drivers Licence, Blue Card, First Aid and CPR certificate.

Carinity Youth - On Track:
This facility is located in coastal Yeppoon, which is approximately 35 minutes northeast of the city of Rockhampton, in Central Queensland. On Track provides accommodation and support to four young people (aged 12-17) in out of home residential care.
