Carinity Education – Gladstone have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Youth Worker – Student Wellbeing to join the team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of Senior Youth Worker – Student Wellbeing to provide support to youth in their academic endeavours contributing to a rich education experience in a caring environment. This position also plays an important role in working collaboratively with students and staff, striving to ensure that the social and emotional environments within the school are positive, respectful and calm.
What do I need for the role?
- Certificate IV in Teacher Aide, Youth Work or similar relevant discipline
- Experience in providing Youth Work, education and support services to marginalised young people, including conducting Youth Worker Programs.
- Ability to manage problematic behaviour of youth at risk, including physical intervention and de-escalation techniques.
- Current and valid Driver’s Licence (Car and LR preferred).
